The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research visits the eLearning Center
On Thursday Nov 26th, 2020, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the eLearning Center and Open Educational Resources and watched the presentation of the Director of the Center Professor Samer Samarah about the eLearning at Yarmouk University.
In his presentation, Professor Samarah focused on the preparations the university made for online learning in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. He mentioned the training workshops for faculty members about eLearning in cooperation with the Center of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center. He also mentioned that during the second and summer semesters, the Computer and Information Center increased the number of servers to five and updated two assessment platforms.
Samarah showed that the number of courses being taught electronically at Yarmouk University during the current semester reached 3061 courses. He also showed the eLearning Center plan to improve the eLearning platform and content design to provide interactive learning experience for students and building a studio where video-recorded lectures are produced in high quality.
